Hi. I was a pupil at the school around 1975/76, my Dad serving in the RAF at Saxa Vord. I loved the 'uncomplicated' life up there and hope to visit again one day. Happy memories of sleeping in a tent on the beach on midsummers night; great!!! Also many a fishing trip at the Loch Of Cliff. Hi to anyone who knows me. Andy.

I was here in 1969-71, another Forces child. I remember getting to school by lorry through the snowdrifts, and playing on the frozen pond (and getting into trouble for doing so!) After four decades I'm planning a holiday to Unst next year and will make sure to look in at the school. Best wishes. Graham

I've been visiting Unst (via Internet) for two or three years and some day, perhaps I'll visit in person! In the meantime, you have a fascinating island with a great history. I am from the USA, in the Midwest state of Ohio (but I have Viking ancestors-does that count?!) Thanks for a wonderful web site.
